The Young Real Estate Professionals extremely excited to have Mr. David Neithercut, President, CEO, and member of the Board of Trustees of Equity Residental (NYSE: EQR) to speak at our next speaker luncheon on Thursday, June 30, 2011.
Equity Residential is an S&P 500 company focused on the acquisition, development and management of high quality apartment properties in top U.S. growth markets. Equity Residential owns or has interest in 492 properties in 23 states and the District of Columbia consisting of 137,091 units and has approximately 4,200 employees.
Mr. Neithercut is the President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Trustees of Equity Residential. Mr. Neithercut has been Equity’s President since May 2005 and became Chief Executive Officer and a trustee of the company in January 2006.
Mr. Neithercut joined Equity Residential in1994 as the company’s Chief Financial Officer and served in that capacity until August 2004 when he was named Executive Vice President – Corporate Strategy. Prior to joining Equity Residential, Mr. Neithercut was Senior Vice President of Finance for Equity Group Investments, an affiliate of Equity Residential’s predecessor company.
Mr. Neithercut holds a B.A. from St. Lawrence University and an M.B.A. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
He is a member of the Executive Committee of the National Multi Housing Council, a member of the Urban Land Institute and a member of the Executive Committee of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts.
